The bakery serves as one of our foundation’s rehabilitation programs for women who have been widowed because of the War.

Professional bakers have trained these women and the facility is outfitted with industrial baking ovens and other professional equipment enabling the quality of its output to be at a commercial level.

The Bakery is committed to using ingredients of the highest quality and nutritional content. Though this slightly raises the cost of the bread in comparison to that of its competitors, our bakery remains one of our more profitable projects, and generates a substantial income for these women.

The Bakery has become one of our most successful projects. It has become very popular in the community.

We are currently planning on opening another Bakery in Kilinochchi in the Northern part of Sri Lanka.
