Medical Camps

The first Medical Camp was conducted in Sri Lanka together with World Team Medical Mission (WTMM) and Foursquare Sri Lanka held in Trincomalee in 2003. The Team at the time consisted of 40 licensed medical doctors and nurses who treated 21,000 men, women and children.

The second Medical Camp was held in 2005 in association with the WTMM and Foursquare Sri Lanka. This time the Medical Camp was held in Batticaloa and we were able to treat 14,000 men, women and children in that area. The Team consisted of 50 licensed medical doctors and nurses mainly from the United States of America.

The WTMM in alliance with the Foursquare Church in Sri Lanka organized another Medical Camp which was held in Vavuniya in 2006. During this Medical Camp they were able to treat 22,000 men, women and children. The Team consisted of 50 licensed medical doctors and nurses mainly from the United States of America.

After the Medical Camp ended we were able to donate medicines and equipment to the hospitals in Batticaloa and Vavuniya worth over Rs. 1.5 million. At the time both these hospitals were severely depleted of equipment and medicines because this was during the time the War in Sri Lanka had adversely affected both these areas as well as leaving its inhabitants in dire need for medical attention.

We had the 4th Medical Camp in July 2010 in partnership again with WTMM and Foursquare Sri Lanka. We held Medical Camps in 7 locations in the wartorn areas around the North of Sri Lanka in collaboration with the Sri Lankan Army.

We were able to serve 10,831 people in the span of 2 weeks.

Our goal is to  hold a Medical Camp as often as possible and we encourage you to be part of this project.
